As a kid I used to read video game magazines and dream myself away to Tokyos Akihabara district where I envisioned endless mountains of arcades, video game outlets and other goodies. So of course I was a bit bummed when I finally made my way there only to realise that it´s mosly made up by seedy stores selling pornographic comics and sweaty nine floor markets where computer components go by the pound. Oh well, they did have a pretty sweet arcade where a couple of Street Fighter IV-cabinets where lined up.
I love Street Fighter. I remember playing the second game in Turkey around 1991 and, on my first try ever, almost ended up beating the game in front of a group of mighty impressed locals. Since then this series have been my favourite arcade franchise next to two other Service Games titles - Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis.
My favourite edition you ask? Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Arcade fighting turned into perfection. Nice.
Oh, and I have to give Mikael Hall a photo credit for this one.
