"The California Zephyr"

Miranda dropped me off in front of the downtown ferry building from where I eventually got picked up by a connecting bus that brought me to the train station in Emeryville - the first/last stop of the California Zephyr route that stretches all the way to Union Station, Chicago.

At the station in Emeryville I checked in my bag just like I would at any airport and took a seat until the train eventually arrived. I bought a morning cup of coffee from a Russian lady who might have been the least friendly person I´ve ever met in my life before a Amtrak official stood up and held a five minute speech about the route, what we eventually would see and finally urged each and everyone to call up their congressman and ask them to have mercy on Amtrak. Apparently it sucks to be a state run company in America.
