"AT&T Park, San Francisco"
I don´t enjoy football (I even refer to it as American football) or basketball. But for some reason I do like a good baseball game. And in a way, it all started here - at San Francisco´s AT&T Park.
Back in 2001, when I caught my very first game, it was called Pacific Bell Park and was almost brand new, having opened only the year before. I´d seen games on video (streaming stuff over the internet wasn´t an option back then, kids) but seeing baseball live was very, very different from any other sporting event I´d been to.
Since then my friend Miranda have taken me to three more games, including the one against the Pirates on my very last night in San Francisco. A beautiful evening (even though the Giants ended up loosing) it was the greatest way imaginable to end my visit.
And as the sun set and the clouds lit up over the Bay I once again felt more at home than anywhere else.
