"Ocean Beach Pier, San Diego"

Matt and Paula took me out for breakfast at the Pier Café where I had the usual regimen of stuff that probably would shorten my life by a decade if I had it on a regular basis. In other words, pancakes swimming in a sea of maple syrup and a few blueberries for good measure.

Surfers were out chasing waves and for some reason a lot of fish had made their way close to the beach, in turn attracting seagulls and a whole bunch of dolphins. Less amusing (at least for the surfers) was that the very same fish most likely would also attract a more vile predator in the coming hours - sharks.
