"The Pure Green Airborne"

As frequent visitors of my photolog surely will know by now I love to fly. And nothing beats flying in a premium cabin which I am fortunate to do every once and a while.

When flying C class with SAS I have a tradition of starting the dinner service with one of their speciality cocktails - the Pure Green Airborne. A few years back SAS introduced their Air Mixology concept which is a number of cocktails tailored made to taste good while up in the air. If you didn´t already know, our ability to taste things gets messed up when flying. If you´d try to eat your airline food while on the ground (not that you would, but oh well) you´d realise that it would taste a whole lot more. Which is why we have a tendency to add lots of salt to food consumed on 30 000 feet.

Anyway, the Pure Green Airborne is made using vodka, Calvados and Ginger Ale. It´s a great tasting cocktail that also triggers my "I´m-finally-on-my-way"-emotions quite well. If it would taste different on sea level? I have no clue since I only drink bourbon while on the ground.
