Tagged!

I have been tagged by Magda Indigo. I do not like particularly this kind of public declarations, but do agree that it is nice to know about many of you and don't want to do it in an uneven way!

Spanish

1. 39 y contando. Mitad español, mitad suizo. Que naciese en Madrid me parece anecdótico.

2. Objetor de conciencia.

15. "There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." - Douglas Adams en "The hitchhiker guide to the galaxy".

English

1. 39 and counting. Both Spaniard and Swiss. Being born in Madrid is something irrelevant.

2. A conscientious objector.

3. Nuclear physicist (without aspiring to become a massive destructor). I do research on techniques and technologies for the transmutation of the nuclear waste and a sustainable nuclear energy production.

4. The Rolling Stones, John Coltrane, U2, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse (being sober), Kenny Burrell, Bill Evans, Stan Getz, Miles Davies, Tony Bennett, Count Basie ...

5. Casablanca, Star Wars (before the infamous second trilogy), Unforgiven, Raiders of the lost arch, Thrid phase encounters, The wild bunch, The bridges of Madison County, "1, 2, 3", Some like it hot...

6. There isn't one single book, but Alamut (Vladimir Bartol) removed the courtain of hypocrisy from my eyes.

7.I escape from built-up urban areas during my holidays. However, I do live in one during the rest of the year. I am full of ununderstood contradictions.

8. I do adore animales, perhaps more than many human beings. I do not see any subtantial difference between them and us and do not understad the human centered ethics that segregates us from them. I felt the hand of a mountain gorilla at the R.D. of Congo and established contact with another conscient species...

9. I will study marine biology in my next life. I ignored the call from Cousteau during my childhood and now is far too late for going back...

10. The trip that I may never do: Antartica.

11. The mountain of mountains: K2. At its base, we feel what we really are: pebbles in space and time.

12. I hate stupidity and injustice.

13. I do love the purity of untouched landscapes, being aware that my feeling has been developed thanks to a civilizationaly safe life.

14. What remains to be done: scuba diving at the Cocos island (if I manage to beat my dizzyness), gliding, organise an exhibition with my photos, write a "good" book, save the planet, feel at peace with myself and the rest of humans...

15. "There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." - Douglas Adams in "The hitchhiker guide to the galaxy".

16. Now I do understand the meaning of liberalism. It is the economic system that, when things go right, transfers the money from the poor to the rich and, when things go wrong, continues doing so with the help of the government.

PD: About the English version: my Firefox spellchecker is set to Spanish and has changed the spelling of many words like "tecnologies" instead of "technologies" and so on. I am trying to "correct" it, but I am sure that the text is not free of awkward things...
