Las luces de Tribugá
Nuqui, located at the Gulf of Tribugá (Colombia), remained intact and unaware of the destructive capacity of human beings. At least until now!
It seems that this paradise will not escape to the devastation and the evil practices that we call "progress". There are plans to build there one of the largest ports of the two Americas, north and south, that will act as entrace point of zillions of tons of goods from Asia. The construction of a road has been scheduled already and the super harbor will come later. If that happens, we will say goodbye to Nuquí, the humpback whales and one of the last paradise on earth.
Watching this sunset I felt rage, helplessness and an indescribable sadness. During the previous afternoon I was able to listen, for the first time in my life, the song of a whale. Shooting photos in front of the sun I wondered how long that would be still possible.

Nuquí se encuentra en el golfo de Tribugá, Colombia, y aún permanece práctimanente intacto y ajeno a la capacidad de destrucción del ser humano. ¡Hasta ahora!
Parece que tampoco este paraíso podrá escapar de la devastación y el mal llamado progreso. Existen planes para construir en Tribugá uno de los mayores puertos de las dos Américas, norte y sur, que dé entrada a las mercancías provenientes de Asia. Los planes de construcción de una carretera ya tienen fecha y el superpuerto de vendrá después. Si eso sucede, podremos decir adiós a Nuquí, a las ballenas jorobadas y a uno de los últimos paraísos sobre la faz de la tierra.
Viendo esta puesta de sol sentí rabia, impotencia y una indescriptible tristeza. Justo aquella misma tarde, sumergido en el agua, escuche por primera vez en mi vida el canto de una ballena. Haciendo fotos frente al sol me pregunté hasta cuándo eso sería posible.
