I put my recently purchased Nikonos finder on my Canon Vt with 35mm Jupiter wide angle for comparison purposes. This model Canon actually has a built-in finder for this focal length, but it's relatively small, and has barrel distortion in addition. The giant Nikonos finder with long eye relief (designed to allow you to see the field of view while wearing goggles underwater) gives a distortion-free view, and the great eye relief allows eyeglass wearers to easily see the entire field of view, something that eyeglass wearers rarely get to see.
