Difficult to get a good shot

We had ambled into the Chinese Timber Architecture permanent exhibition on our random walk round the gardens - it is situated in the north-western corner - pleased that we did.

 

This is a 1 to 20 scale model of the main hall. Traditionally such buildings would have seven bays, but this has five to to the topography of the land. The buildings have been constructed without use of nails and I think this is also true of the models.
