little and large

Technically far from perfect, I know, but there is a nice story to this picture. My wife wanted the horse to canter in circles around her, but the field was full of thistles. Every time the sensitive young princess on the end of the line hit a thistle, she protested.

This started out as side jumps, developed later in to little hops over the thistles, growing into bigger hops, and finally culminating in a great big threatening rear-up on her hind legs. Not sure what she was trying to achieve - maybe she hoped to look imposing enough to frighten the nasty thistles into submission.
