Turbulentics Nr.03

NB1 - In case you want to try it, here is my method for hand-held "Turbulentics-Style" Photos:

Shooting

- Turbulentics works best in bright sunlight.

- Set ISO high enough to force a high f-stop (ISO 400 here).

- Use auto-focus.

- Use a zoom lens so you can isolate the water you want.

- Use stabilization (built into lens or camera + luck).

- Shoot shutter-priority with a slow-ish shutter speed (1/30s here),

- Since you are shooting hand-held at a slow shutter speed, take several spontaneous shots. Getting a sharp image is partly luck at slow shutter speeds.

- Get a resultant high f-stop (f/29here) which will give you lots of depth of field, even though you are shooting telephoto.

Editing

According to your taste;

- Tilt colors toward blue or green

- Saturate colors & raise the contrast..

- Sharpen luminance to emphasize the long sprays created by the slow shutter speed.

NB2 - My all-time most-viewed Flickr photo is one of these kinds of shots:
