Cirratulidae, Lake Merritt, Oakland, California

This image is part of series that I am working on to document the organisms of Lake Merritt, especially now that measure DD improvements have increased the effect of tides on the lake. Lake Merritt was originally a large tidal lagoon with water ebbing over mudflats and these photos are taken to help broaden the appreciation of all the life that occurs in that space.
