Latticed Stinkhorn (Clathrus ruber), Lake Merritt, Oakland, California

Led a mushroom identification hike around Lake Merritt for WildOakland.org and found this beauty. It was great to see one of these up for these budding mycophiles to see, because the geometery is unlike any other mushroom in our area.
