Loss. It is one of the constants of the universe. Each loss diminishes us. Sometimes, it's time for that departure. Other times, we feel ripped away. But, in each case, we all long for one more moment; to live in that moment for as long as the situation will permit. Say the things we need to say. When we know it's "goodbye," sometimes it's easier. That's not to say the sudden is more or less impactful. We're often not permitted to say "goodbye," but when you recognize you have that opportunity, seize it. You never know when the last time will be the ultimate case.
