Mangrove Skipper (Phocides pigmalion) on Common Morning Glory (Ipomoea purpurea)

Luckily I didn't have my 100 mm macro on at the time this guy decided to pay a visit,

since as it was it barely tolerated the 300 I had on at the time.

Fortunately the 300 F4 L has macro capability,

and I captured this guy at the 1.5 meter (5 foot) MFD by focusing with my feet

(i.e. using camera to subject distance to focus).
