Golden Hour Light

Halloween Pennant (Celithemis eponina) - Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, 3365 Taylor Creek Rd, Christmas, Florida

A Halloween Pennant catching the late afternoon light at Tosohatchee.

These guys are quite common in Florida, and are only outnumbered by the ubiquitous Blue Dasher. Lucky for us, both are quite handsome DFs, and both take their jobs (eating mosquitoes) seriously!

Halloween Pennants can be found all the way from Florida to Maine, but there's definitely more of them here than in Maine!
