Lesser Yellowlegs

Lesser Yellow-legs and Greater Yellow-legs sandpipers. The Greater is easily twice the size (volume wise) of the lesser, and if it has a slightly up-turned beak (very slightly upturned indeed). Aside from the size difference the next greatest difference between these two is the leg coloring. - Brigantine Salt Marsh, Oceanville, NJ
