repainted Via Toy Box doors, now with chalkboard paint
The red doors on the kids' Via Toy Box didn't really match the rest of the reds in the kids' room, so I decided to paint them black.
We had about half a can of magnetic chalkboard wall paint left over from Yoyamart, and so I put three coats on each side, sanding in between.
The can says to use a 120-grit sandpaper, which seemed way too rough to me. I used 320 instead, to get a smoother finish. It's important, because the paint is a little thick, and it didn't settle smooth as I expected/hoped it would.
The matte finish looks great, and the soft black matches the milk crates, too.
Magnetically speaking, three coats barely holds the smallest magnetic sticker, though, so don't plan on that.
