Green Kingfisher (Chloroceryle americana)

Trying to figure out a way to get closer to these Kingfishers. Taking to the water with a inner tube may be the only answer but definately want to get some good shots, seeing as how they are apparently very limited in the US. The picture titled "San Felipe Springs Kingfisher Area" shows the area they are fishing in that I have to get across to.
