HEMA HDR

In round 17 of the Get Pushed Group, I got linked to Grif Grif who has a similar attitude to photography: "Experimenting all the time and hopefully getting better at it???". And I guess that is exactly what Andy wanted me to do in this push:

"for your challenge i would like you to get a shot of some typical Amsterdam buildings (perhaps one of the many squares to be found in Amsterdam?). That part should be easy for you but i would like you to produce a HDR image."

Andy has an extensive stream and definitely has more control over the different sliders for HDR, so I decided to post another version in the comments. I still am not sure which one I like better, but that is my general issue with HDR. Do I like it or not....?

PS: the square is one near my home, so no famous canal house shot. I might still do that. This time my time was limited and a quick attempt on the go at shooting down town with my Powershot G12 (compact) did not result in usable shots without a tripod.

PPS: HEMA stands for Hollandse Eenheidsprijzen Maatschappij Amsterdam or Dutch Unit Price Company Amsterdam (so there is a Dutch and Amsterdam theme in there, even though our traditional green phone booths are now labelled in English)
