Halawa valley with Nick and some local dogs. These dogs came out the first day we got to here and stayed with us until we left. We named them Makai and Mauka, for towards the water and towards the mountains respectfully.
It was pretty cool--they would stay at our camp when we would go for hikes and when we would return they would bark (they could hear someone coming but not see us). When they saw it was us they would come running up all happy... Made me want a dog even more.
