White Sycamores on the bank of the Occoquan River

Playing around with using Lightroom to generate the Orton Effect led to this reinterpretation of a late Autumn scene.

 

This forest with its ghostly White Sycamores, especially in the Fall, always reminded me of the prophetic lines from Macbeth:

 

"Macbeth shall never vanquish’d be until

Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill

Shall come against him. "
