1924 Franklin Model 10C Sedan

The Franklin was the most popular domestic air-cooled car prior to the Chevrolet Corvair. Built in Syracuse, New York, it used wooden frames for lightness and a full, elliptic suspension. Franklin was considered ideal for extreme climates because the air-cooled engine could neither boil over nor freeze.

One year after this car was built, Franklin adopted a grille resembling that of a conventional water-cooled automobile in response to customer demand for vehicles with a more mainstream appearance.
