Ponte da Boa Vista

Recife, Brazil.

Boa Vista Bridge is a bridge Recife on the Capibaribe River , connecting New Street , in the neighborhood of St. Anthony , the Street of the Empress Teresa Cristina, in the district of Boa Vista .

It is the most typical bridge Recife urban landscape, built by Maurice of Nassau in 1640 .

Remarkable, in bridge architecture, the four metal pillars, two at each end, with all the imperial coat of arms at the top. And in all of them there are dates and couplets in relief, which are a summary of the history of Pernambuco and Brazil.
