Rocky IV
Triple C Farm had another loss today, with the passing of Rocky, the owners bulldog. These are her words as posted on Facebook:
"Rocky IV...August 3, 2009 - December 6, 2016. 7 years 4 months and 3 days...not bad for a puppy who wasn't supposed to live to be 1! From the moment I met you I knew you had spunk and were strong. Diagnosed at 4 months with a pulmonary stenosis with a not so good prognosis...but then surviving 2 heart surgeries at 8 months old and then cherry eye surgery at 18 months..you showed us all you werent giving up! But here we are..you didnt give up, but your heart finally said it was tired. Medicines helped for a few months and you were your old self again, but the last little while we could see you were so tired and resting was hard....our decision was even harder...but it was the right one. My 'Rockstar'...you brought us so much joy and love and were with me through some really tough times so I had to be there with you 'til the end. We did one last Timmies run for your Timbits you love so much..I will miss your wiggly bum every time you were happy because you didn't have a tail to wag...I will miss your 'old man' face..your snorts and grunts..your snoring..and yes even your flatulence!! Be free now my boy..no more pain..no more discomfort..say hi to Taz and Amy, Bacon and Gabby, and Patches and Flynn...you will be forever in our hearts. We will lay you to rest here forever with us on the farm with your cement statue to mark where you sleep. Love you Rocky...."
Rocky was a character that, when I first met him, didn't want another animal on his property. The last couple years though, he's shared his home with up to 17 horses, 2 pigs, a cow, 3 Alpacas, 4 goats, about of dozen chickens, 2 other dogs (and numerous 'visiting' dogs) and half a dozen cats. And all the while, never growled, snapped or made bad with any of them. He was one of a kind. Gonna miss you Rockstar!
