'startled'
I was going to finish the last of my 'raptor kinda day' experience, when after lunch I noticed the squirrel digging in the back yard. I went to the patio door and heard something, looked up and saw what I think is a juvenile Coopers Hawk. The birds all flew away, but the squirrel proceeded up the latice to take a closer look at the hawk, probably not a good idea, but it 'startled' the hawk, flapping it's wings and keeping a close eye on the squirrel as it made it's way by...it was quite funny to watch. I wish I could have gotten the squirrel by the hawk!...best seen large!
