Prototype detachable fender that doubles as a rear carrier. I made this so the bicycle can travel on the high speed French TGV trains. These require a bike to be partially disassembled to a package of 120 x 90 cm max. Wheels strapped to the frame, bars flipped, pedals off. In the bagage compartments, the whole package lays on its side.
On the train stations I was too busy packing the contraption in the tarp of my tent to take any photos, but it worked well enough. Assembled, the rear carrier can take some small panniers with a light load.
