Wapping Police Station and Old Aberdeen Wharf

Designed by the Met's house architect, John Dixon Butler, and built between 1907 and 1910, Wapping Police Station is the home of the Metropolitan Police's Marine Policing Unit. It was Grade II listed in 1983.

Also Grade II listed is Old Aberdeen Wharf to the left. With its white façade and giant Tuscan pilasters, it presents a much fancier face to the river than it does to Wapping High Street, which is a plain brick rather affair rather more typical of a London warehouse. The conversion to apartments was designed by Landmark Architecture in Wandsworth.

The towers of the St George Estate, currently being refurbished, can be seen peeking over from behind.
