Female Blackcap (Bergen, Norway)

The Blackcap Sylvia atricapilla is a scarce bird during winter in Norway, and most can be found along the western coast of southern Norway. This female has survived a few pretty rough weeks with subzero temperatures and snow. It is feeding on apples and fat that I’ve put out. Bergen, western Norway 17 January 2024.
