Grasslimper

Unfortunately for this little dude, looks like one of the local birds snacked on his right leg for breakfast. I didn't zoom the camera for this shot; he just sat there as I crept closer and closer. He did awkwardly hop away afterwards, but I can't imagine he'll last long out there missing half his rear propulsion. Such is the ebb and flow of nature. Death for this little dude and one more tasty crunchy snack for the scrub jay chillin' in that ficus tree over yonder.
