113/365/1574 (October 2, 2012) - Michigan Libraries for Life Information Table at Kresge Library

Today and tomorrow, the Kresge Library is participating in the Michigan Libraries for Life, an effort to increase awareness for organ donors. While started at the University of Michigan's Taubman Health Sciences Library, this program has extended to other universities in the state and helped add over 600 new organ donors to the registry over the last two years. This is the first year that we at Kresge are hosting an information table and has the ability to help you register to become an organ donor.

The drive coordinates with Gift of Life Michigan, the state’s designated organ and tissue recovery program, and is closely allied with University of Michigan effort Wolverines for Life, a collaboration between the University of Michigan community, Gift of Life, Be the Match, Red Cross, and the Michigan Eye Bank.

If you would like information about organ donation, please stop by the information table at the entrance of Kresge Library the following times:

Tuesday October 2nd – 11am – 3pm

Wednesday October 3rd – 11:30am – 3pm

Thanks in advance for your consideration. Please understand that the Kresge Library zombie had nothing to do with our decision to support this initiative!
