Eastern Grey Squirrels in Southampton's Central Parks (Southampton, UK) - August 12th, 2025
Very happy to see squirrels in Southampton's Central Parks. I had been walking around Southampton on the day of our sailing looking at the historical city, the ships in ports and hoping for some squirrel pictures! After about an hour, I found a few in Palmerston Park and Houndwell Park - both part of Southampton's Central Parks. These are eastern greys and were a joy to see. We were in Southampton for back-to-back cruises. These include Cruise A - August 12th, 2025 - August 17th, 2025 - Independence of the Seas (Royal) from Southampton (UK) to Hamburg, Germany & Rotterdam, Netherlands; and Cruise B - August 17th, 2025 - August 24th, 2025 - Independence of the Seas (Royal) from Southampton (UK) to Bruges (Zeebrugge), Belgium; Skjolden, Norway; Olden, Norway; & Haugesund, Norway. So many firsts on these cruises! Our travels in August 2025.
