Tilioq Arctica (General Cargo Ship) in Qaqortoq, Greenland - September 22nd, 2023 - Jewel of the Seas 14 Night Cruise to Greenland
Pictures of the general cargo ship Tilioq Arctica in port at Qaqortoq, Greenland, our second stop in that country. The Tilioq Arctica is part of the Royal Arctic Line fleet. Beautiful morning as we visited this Southern Greenland city of just over 3000 residents. These are from land and from the tender boats. From the Royal Caribbean description, "With 3,229 inhabitants, Qaqortoq is a large town for Greenlandic standards. Stroll around the historical buildings in this colorful colonial town, formerly known as Julianeha. Cruise to Greenland to admire the open-air sculpture gallery Stone and Man, and check out the spouting whale fountain." On board the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas for a grand 14 day cruise to Greenland (September 14th through 28th, 2023). The cruise embarks from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) with an actual stop in Manhattan (a delay leaving NYC caused by Hurricane Lee); Nuuk, Qaqortoq & Nanortalik in Greenland; St.John's, Newfoundland before heading back to New York City. It was a grand adventure!
