Paggivik Lighthouse (Qaqortoq, Greenland) from the Jewel of the Seas 14 Night Cruise to Greenland - September 22nd, 2023

Pictures of the Paggivik Lighthouse near Qaqortoq, Greenland from on board the Jewel of the Seas on September 22nd, 2023. The lighthouses in Greenland are among the most distinct in their style that I have seen before. They are painted brightly to stand out during the day as well. Some of the ones that are yellow (especially the range lights) look like the cartoon Minions! I used information on the lighthouse that I found on the Danish Maritime Authority. We saw a number during our three stops in Greenland. The Paggivik Light was the first one we saw upon our approach to Qaqortoq and it was on the starboard or right side as we headed into port. The focal height is 40 meters. On board the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas for a grand 14 day cruise to Greenland (September 14th through 28th, 2023). The cruise embarks from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) with an actual stop in Manhattan (a delay leaving NYC caused by Hurricane Lee); Nuuk, Qaqortoq & Nanortalik in Greenland; St.John's, Newfoundland before heading back to New York City.
