Visit to Basseterre Animal Rescue Centre on Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise on the Celebrity Apex - January 14th, 2025
When Seth Rudetsky organizes a cruise, he tries to always include a visit to an animal rescue at one of the stops. On our cruise, we visited the Basseterre Animal Rescue Centre (B.A.R.C. - get it). B.A.R.C. is located at Lime Kiln Commercial and Institutional Park in Basseterre. From their website - their mission is "B.A.R.C.’s mission is to build a self-supporting animal rescue centre for dogs and cats. We will, through good health-care and rehabilitation, prepare them to thrive in home environments. We strive to build harmonious relations within the local community, and a place where citizens visit when they are ready to welcome pets into their homes." They were started just a few years ago and have been doing the great work to get homes for feral dogs on the island. We were able to play with the pups and learn about what they are doing to help these dogs. A wonderful visit indeed - thanks to Seth for organizing this. Best excursion in some time!
