Pictures from the wonderful excursion Panoramic Nuuk at Nuuk, Greenland, our first stop in that country. These are pictures from inside the bus as well as our stops on the way. From the description of the excursion: "Climb onto your bus and set out on a scenic drive through the capital city of Nuuk, right on the edge of Kangerlua fjord and one of the few cities in the world that offers waterfall and iceberg views from the city center.; See the old Colonial Harbor, where city founder Hans Egede arrived in 1728, and the suburbs of Nuussuaq, founded in 1923 as a trading station, and Qinngorput.; Drive past Greenland's unicameral parliament (Inatsisartut), Katuaq Cultural Centre, the city's musical and theatrical showpiece, before continuing downtown and past Greenland's only university.; & Stop at the cemetery, where you are treated to a beautiful view over the fiord to the iconic island and mountain of Sermitsiaq." On board the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas for a grand 14 day cruise to Greenland (September 14th through 28th, 2023). The cruise embarks from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) with an actual stop in Manhattan (a delay leaving NYC caused by Hurricane Lee); Nuuk, Qaqortoq & Nanortalik in Greenland; St.John's, Newfoundland before heading back to New York City.
