Fox Squirrels in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan 108/2022 311/P365Year14 5059/P365all-time (April 18, 2022)
Fox squirrels on a spring day in Ann Arbor, Monday April 18th, 2022. The highlight of the day was seeing the squirrels play in the scilla field near Martha Cook. This blooms beautifully every April and I was so glad to catch some squirrels there. The blue of the flowers makes a beautiful backdrop. Since the grass is getting as tall as the flowers, that is usually a sign that the season is already over. This was all before it snowed...so that was fun. Also, hooked up a squirrel with meds for mange behind Tappan Hall. Looks like a juvenile - likely born in October. That one has little hair on its tail. I will call him Remy (from Ratatouille) and will hook up a time for a second dose of the meds next week. Lots of mommas who are nursing their babies in their nests. We'll see the juveniles soon. Wishing you joy, health and peace wherever you are.
