141/365/3793 (October 30, 2018) - Western Grey Squirrel and My Visit to Nutty Narrows (Longview, Washington - October 30th, 2018)
Visiting Portland for the Integrity Toys Convention and decided to take a trip up to one of the squirrel tourism spots near that city. In Longview, Washington, you can find Nutty Narrows. From a local site, "The Nutty Narrows Bridge was built in 1963 by a local builder, the late Amos Peters, to give squirrels a way to cross the busy thoroughfare without getting flattened by passing cars." The bridge is one of a few squirrel bridges in town and is located at 1815 Olympia Way. There is a nearby wooden sculpture of a squirrel dedicated to Amos Peters and is was carved by Tom Kell in 2001. This is a fun place to visit for squirrel fans. While I did not see a squirrel on the bridge, I did see a nice Western Grey Squirrel near the bridge. Taken on Tuesday October 30th, 2018.
