Fiddlers ReStrung Receiving a Proclamation from the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners (October 21, 2009)
Josh Herter and members of the Fiddlers ReStrung receiving a proclamation from the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners in honor for their Summer Reading Program for Michigan Libraries. During the summer of 2009, the Fiddlers ReStrung played 11 of these concerts in Southeastern Michigan. What made the program recognition-worthy was that the libraries were charged a very modest fee - basically to cover expenses. It was a tremendous program that will hopefully be extended next year. It was a great honor for Fiddlers ReStrung, who performed brilliantly, and it is shared with all the parents, who took days off of work to drive, run tech and manage the gigs.
