Hammock FAIL
Samantha and I camp frequently. Last September, we booked a few days to camp in Asseteague State Park. I bought this two person hammock, picturing a romantic way to relax by the beach. Unfortunately, the trees there could certainly not support my body weight plus another so we abandoned the tent set up.
So this weekend we camped in the Pine Barrens in NJ. Surrounded by tall oaks and pines, I finally had an opportunity to set this up. As you can see, you sink right to the bottom, weighing the thing down and these flaps fly up cocooning me in nylon. The fabric didn't spread when she joined, just raised higher. Complete fail, unless camping in Siberia where this body-heat-trapping beast would do wonders keeping you warm, but I would worry about suffocating.
