Doll Surgery
How this relates to the week 5 challenge, connected:
This doll was given to my daughter by my grandfather. She was old, slightly chipped and missing her hair but my daughter loved her all the same. The doll became even more important to her after he died a few years ago. Instead of staying home where a delicate doll should be, she often accompanies my daughter on trips. This doll is her connection to him.
A few weeks ago the doll was dropped and shattered. I'm amazed that it didn't happen sooner. My daughter was completely heartbroken so I promised to attempt major surgery.
Today we were working on her together... our connection. Hopefully the glue holds.
