* Winter Stargate! *

 

Hello my friends! ☺

 

Took this chilly shot in February this year : ) We had experienced temperatures of -9°C the day before, and of course I visited this water inlet early the next morning to see what kind of magic I could find : )

 

The water had frozen around some old pier posts and the icy casing was forced up & around the posts as well. These eventually broke off & fell down into large chunks, which I began to mess about with & created this structure that peered directly into the winter sun (hence the title, Winter Stargate!)

 

The sunrise was very memorable for me that morning as the clouds were beautiful, yet still allowed some blue sky to appear... and the sun shown huge!

I was also treated to a nice, warm glow of light, which I think was enhanced through this tunnel-esque view : )
