The Summer That Damn Near Wasn’t

With pools closed and playgrounds off-limits and the US government providing little to no guidance during the pandemic isolation of the summer of 2020, we had to seek out new ways to pass the days. One of our regular outings was to go jump into the Rivanna River which runs through Charlottesville. I snapped this pic with my trusty Nikonos V, capturing Miles with an expression that - to me - sums up our lives during this weird period of uncertainty and worry.
