Yellow fields of Oilseed Rape - better known as Canola, Rape or Rapeseed. This shot has been taken a little while after sunset and it seemed that the whole world was on fire, at least as what I witnessed locally.

Location: Sustrum Moor - Emsland - Germany.

Exposure: 3 brackets of -2 Ev, +/-0 Ev and +2 Ev at f/2.8, securely mounted on a tripod.

Technique: HDR tone mapping and PS post-processing.

Three copies of the original layer were used for selective sharpening, noise removal - although slightly - and localized color saturation. With a gradual mask applied to a 40% Soft Light layer - in the horizon between trees and clouds - I was able to enhance the effect here just slightly.

Three adjustment layers - with their corresponding painted masks - are being used to tweak global tonal color theme and contrast. In this case using a Custom Curve and Hue/Saturation layer was enough to get the effect I wanted. To simulate a yellowish/orange filter to enhance the effect globally, I tweaked a Selective Color layer until the finishing effect was accomplished.
