I shot this right at the start of the gig if my memory serves me correctly.I need to check the negs but I'm sure it's the first on the roll. Ian Brown is looking at Mani(out of frame) as he is about to start singing and Cressa is preparing to work on 'effects'. I absolutely loved John Squire's Gretsch "Chet Atkins" Country Gentleman guitar and I like the way Reni is holding his drumsticks with his arms crossed. poised to work his magic. I was really hoping to see the Roses in Amsterdam on the 12th of June but a last minute opportunity suggests I could well be in Berlin for 4 days instead.
