21st Century Lewisham
A panoramic mobile phone shot of Lewisham taken from the down platform of Lewisham Station as I was changing trains a few weeks ago while visiting my mum. I grew up and lived most of my life in South East London, often going to Lewisham to go shopping with my mum and dad. Needless to say it never looked anything like this. This sight has only came about over recent years with the 'regeneration' around the station now utterly dwarfing it and putting it in the shade by a multitude of high rise apartment blocks and towers. One can only wonder what it's like to live in these buildings which is an irony when one of the developers is called 'Get Living'! They even have a new name for this area now, 'Lewisham Gateway'. Gateway to what exactly?
