UPY 2750 • Los Angeles CA • 04/03/17

There is a lot to see here … All of it ugly. UP 3GS21B Y2750's less-than-stylish design is not helped by the paint scheme "improvements" that have been applied (although trailing 3GS21B Y2734 appears to be graffiti-free); the graffiti applied to the buildings, walls and even the chain-link fencing; the litter in the streets; the stolen shopping cart full of garbage (or perhaps a homeless denizen's belongings) – even the crossbuck is missing half the "X" (and, as a result, now just reads "CROSSING"). This is urban railroading at its "finest"! The crossing signals were flashing as designed, so the fusees in the street to protect the crossing are a mystery.

These locomotives is switching the Los Angeles Times printing plant, located at the end of Union Pacific's 1.1 mile (1.93121 km) Alameda Industrial Lead, which gets several carloads of paper each day. (Los Angeles, California – April 3, 2017)
