SP 7200 - Sacramento CA - 09/02/78

The setting sun glints off half of Southern Pacific's GP40X fleet as an eastbound heads out of Sacramento, CA on September 2, 1978 behind two GP40Xs and two GP9Es, while an SW1500 works on an adjacent track. I waited for several hours at this spot, expecting to see at least a couple trains, if not more, as this is a busy SP mainline with the Western Pacific main passing underneath. But I got aced, with no action at all - until the sun set, and then this train appeared. Fortunately, there was still just barely enough light to grab this shot. (The "going away" shot was horribly blurred.)
