elaine was talking about unions and negotiations in the hs economics course that she was teaching, and she taught that the unions and the companies want to reach a fair contract of sorts. fair? what's fair? define fair. yeah, i gave her a hard time about teaching with such an emotional and vague word such as "fair."
when people do contract negotiations, i assume that they don't say, "that's not fair." fair must be defined. but then i saw that half our signs had the word "fair," on them >_< ugh. but i know, i know. that's to appeal to the public at large without going into specifics.
