howard is one of the great benefactors of calpoly csa. he's 98 and going on 99! haha. he gave a little talk about life as a kid in slo during WWI when opium and coccaine were still legal, and they'd sell opium to a lot of the chinese workers at his dad's store. then he'd collect all the little tins that were thrown out as trash and recycle them for the war effort. he also fought in WWII.
